26:49: What factors damage mitochondria (your energy production factories)?

One of the biggest factors is excess glucose which keeps insulin elevated and leads to oxidative stress.

This constant cycle can lead to mitochondria dysfunction. Junk food is mostly the biggest problem.

Consume polyphenols, green tea (EGCG), resveratrol, quercetin, apigenin, parsley, chlorogenic acid in coffee

These are powerful in raising NAD levels thus creating energy.

33:35: Top supplements to improve mitochondrial biogenesis or efficiency?

COQ10 and PQQ for mitochondrial health.

Increase NAD with IV and intranasal.

Next, look to oral supplements such as nicotinamide riboside and NMN (nicotinamide mono nucleotide).

Eat polyphenols such as fisetin and apigenin. That combination increases NAD levels.

Curcumin in bioavailable form is great.

Most important to eat whole-foods first.

If you are vegan, you can eat coca-cola and gummy bears and you are still vegan but it defeats the purpose.

If you are on a keto diet, you can eat all kinds of deserts, which are bad for you.

The key is to eat whole food and to move your body. When you do that then you can move to advanced tactics.

Body in motion stays in motion. If you want a more vibrant life, you must move.

High intensity workouts – In 10 minutes you can do far more in just 2x/week than someone who is working out for an hour doing cardio.

With deloading, we can use a lot of lower weight and try to train with 40% of one-rep max versus 70%,80%,90% of one-rep max. We still get hypertrophy gains.

54:41: Why circadian rhythm is important for energy creation in the body?

It is the natural rhythm of our body honed over millions of years. People evolved to do this.

When the sunlight goes, our energy goes too. When sun goes up, melatonin is blocked. When sun goes down, melatonin starts to get released. Then we started to feel tired.

It is ideal to wake up with the sun and to eat while the sun is up.
